Have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent
The Pre-Registration Phase is your first step towards becoming a real estate salesperson in Ontario. You must complete this first phase of the Real Estate Salesperson Program before applying for registration with RECO. This phase comprises of 5 courses, 4 exams and 2 simulation sessions which must be completed sequentially as shown below. You will have a maximum of 24 months to complete pre-registration.
Cost: $590 + $475 Errors & Omissions (E & O) Insurance
Timeline: must be completed within 12 months of completing step 1
Obtain Salesperson Registration with RECO:
Fulfill pre-requisites and complete step 1 (above)
Obtain employment with a registered brokerage firm
Complete and submit the registration forms including paid fee and criminal record check
